"Fast & Furious 8" actor Dwayne Johnson slammed his co-stars in the said film franchise in social media. Johnson is wrapping up his scenes for the film and offered some insights as to what happened during production.

In his official Facebook account, Johnson praised his female co-stars but took a hit at his male co-stars by saying that his "male co-workers however are a different story." Johnson said that there were scenes in the film where he felt like he was acting in heated scenes because he was upset.

A source said that Johnson snapped on his co-stars who were too silent to man up and say what they wanted to say, E! Online reported.

He called out his male counterparts for their lack of professionalism. Though Johnson did not mention specific names, his rant was allegedly directed at his co-star Vin Diesel, TMZ reported.  The snafu is reportedly ironed out through a secret meeting to hash things out.

Apparently, Diesel and Johnson butted heads when the former made decisions that did not sit well with the wrestling icon. Apart from starring in the film, Diesel also serves as producer for the film.

Over the years, the "Furious" franchise was swelled into a huge ensemble. Mainstays Johnson, Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Michelle will return alongside Nathalie Emmanuel, Jason Statham, and Lucas Black from "Furious 7." Meanwhile, Charlize Theron, Kristofer Hivju, Scott Eastwood and Helen Mirren will be the latest additions.

"Furious 8" opens on April 17, 2017. The film will be followed by two more installments scheduled for release on April 19, 2019 and April 2, 2021 respectively.
