A lot of earlier rumors suggested that the upcoming 8th franchise of the "Fast and Furious" would feature a prison break, as Jason Statham's character Deckard Shaw would escape from the prison and would serve as the main villain of the film; however, recent updates confirmed that those rumors are false.

Initially, rumors claim that Statham and Helen Mirren would be the main antagonist in the film, wherein the latter would be the mastermind behind the prison break.

Recent news stated that Deckard Shaw would indeed be a part of the upcoming franchise, but this time, there's a slight chance that the former villain would join Dominic 'Dom' Toretto's team and finally be a good guy. On the other hand, Mirren's role is not yet discussed but reports state that her character wouldn't be involved with the action scenes as much as the actress wanted to.

Furthermore, it is said that even with Deckard Shaw being on the good side in the upcoming franchise, a prison breakout would still happen but it would involve Luke Hobbs.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson like to keep his fans updated with what's going on during "F8's" production, and  one of his Instagram post showed his character soaring his way out of a correctional facility, facing a group of armed police officers.

The Rock also posted videos in between takes, showing the actor's exhausted face after filming intense action scenes. The actor even stated in one of his videos that he sort of injured himself in one of the takes but he continued on his video praising the people behind the production.

Mobilenapps also reported that the upcoming "Fast and Furious 8" would not be the last for its franchise, as Director F. Gary Gray plans to do 2 more before completely saying goodbye to the film.

"Fast and Furious 8" would still include most of the staple cast members such as Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Elsa Pataky, Nathalie Emmanuel and Lucas Black. Alongside with the original casts are a few actors making their comebacks that includes Statham, Johnson and Kurt Russell.

"Fast 8" would premiere on April 14, 2017.
