"Furious 8" star Jason Statham, 48, and his girlfriend Rosie Hunting-Whiteley chose to celebrate the New Year in Asia. In particular, the couple were spotted hitting the beach in Thailand on Dec. 31, Thursday.
While walking along the sand and enjoying the ocean in Thailand, Statham and Huntington-Whiteley showed off their bikini bodies. Statham was shirtless and wore a pair of swim trunks while Huntington-Whiteley wore a Melissa Odabash bikini, according to Pop Sugar.
On Jan. 2, Saturday, Statham posted a photo of himself taken in Thailand, which received more than three million likes, with a caption, "Happy New Year! Thanks for all the support over the years, wishing you all the best for 2016."
Before reprising his role as Deckard Shaw in "Furious 8," Statham will star in "Mechanic: Resurrection," which started to be filmed in Bangkok, Thailand, on Nov. 4, 2014 and is set to be released on Aug. 26.
Directed by Dennis Gansel, "Mechanic: Resurrection" is the sequel the 2011 film "The Mechanic," which starred Statham opposite Ben Foster. In the sequel, Statham's co-stars are "Barely Lethal" star Jessica Alba, "Criminal" star Tommy Lee Jones, "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2" actress Michelle Yeoh and "The Huntsman: Winter's War" star Sam Hazeldine.
In "Furious 8," Statham will co-star again with Vin Diesel, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Michelle Rodriguez, who will reprise their roles Hobbs, Dominic Toretto, Roman Pearce, Tej Parker and Lettie Ortiz Toretto respectively.
On the other hand, Huntington-Whiteley has yet to have a new project after playing the Splendid Angharad in the 2015 action sci-fi film "Mad Max: Fury Road" with Tom Hardy, Nathan Jones, Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Charlize Theron, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough and Abbey Lee, among others.
Statham has been dating Huntington-Whiteley since 2010. They have yet to announce their wedding plans.
Days before Christmas in 2015, the two were spotted on a dinner date at Ebaldi in Beverly Hills, California. The "Furious 8" actor wore a gray suit and paired it with a black turtleneck while the "Mad Max: Fury Road" actress wore a black long-sleeve shirt, a shimmering shawl and a pair of leather pants, People reported.
