"The Flash" Season 3 will have Grant Gustin's Barry Allen forget his power. The show will commence with a new timeline as a result of "The Flashpoint" which sets up the characters for a huge fallout.

In the latest episode of "DC All Access," Gustin confirmed that Barry tinkered with the timeline so bad that he lost memory of his powers. He went to say that aside from memory loss, Barry will also have to deal with the new alternate universe that he has created, Screen Rant reported.

"In the same sense that he's forgetting a lot of memories, it means he's forgetting his powers too. It's like he's having a full 'Back to the Future' moment, where essentially his hand is disappearing in front of him."

Gustin explained that The Flash's memory loss will ultimately lead him to try and fix everything.

"Barry is the only one that knows the timeline is different, and his memories are starting to get replaced from the previous timeline with new memories, like graduating high school and graduating college, moments with his family. When he realizes those memories are replacing other memories, that's when he starts to realize how selfish of a decision this was and that maybe he should try to put things back the way they were."

At the recent Comic-Con 2016 trailer release for the show, "The Flash" showed a few glimpses of what the audience can expect for season 3. Wally West played by Keiynan Lonsdale will become Kid Flash, Barry finds himself estranged from his adoptive father Joe played by Jessie Martin and Iris while Cisco Ramon played by Carlos Valdes is currently the richest man in America.

Meanwhile in other plot points, "The Flash" Season 3 will also shed light on the relationship between Danielle Panabaker's Caitlin Snow and her mother, TVLine reported. Actress Susan Walters play Caitlin's mom who is a world-class biomedical engineer, Dr. Carla Tannhauser.

"The Flash" Season 3 will premiere on October 4, 2016.
