Nam Joo Hyuk wants to eliminate ‘innocent vibe’ for ‘mature and masculine’ impressionBy / 2017.02.20
From his typical school boy look in "Cheese in the Trap" and "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," Nam Joo Hyuk recently shared his desire to display a more mature and masculine appearance in his future projects.
In fact, the rising star has started his transformation in the March edition of "Elle" magazine. Unlike his sweet personality in dramas, Nam Joo Hyuk turned displayed his darker side for magazine.
"I know that my looks lean towards a more innocent vibe so, in the future, I'd like to increase my mature and masculine charm," he told "Elle" magazine.
According to Soompi, Nam Joo Hyuk's photos for the magazine were taken in Los Angeles. When asked about his rising popularity as an actor, the YG artist said he only wants to show his sincerity through acting.
The 22-year-old model-turned-actor even admitted he still can't believe how his life changed after he was casted for "Who Are You: School 2015." He was even given the Best New Actor award during the 4th APAN Star Awards for his role as Han Yi An in the KBS2 drama.
"Even up until just two years ago, I was working as a model and I never imagined I would be where I am now," Nam Joo Hyuk said.
He went on, "I want to show everyone who I am and I think that, right now, the best way to do that is through acting. So, I will continue to work hard to show a better side of me with acting."
During his stay in Los Angeles for his photoshoot with "Elle" magazine, the Korean actor was spotted enjoying an NBA game with a colleague. Koreaboo cited Nam Joo Hyuk is a big fan of Golden State Warriors, particularly Stephen Curry.
During an NBA game between Warriors and Bulls, Lee Sung Kyung even shared a screenshot of the live telecast where she spotted Nam Joo Hyuk sitting behind his favorite team.
