Executive Producer Phil Klemmer recently teased some "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 spoilers in a recent interview. He talked about Captain Cold's return as a member of the Legion of Doom and whether he recruits Rory to the team.
Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) is back from the dead when DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 returns to The CW. This time he is not the same person who the time travelling heroes remember. Klemmer said he is the evolved and "rehabilitated" version of Captain Cold.
"It doesn't make any sense of the Legion to go and recruit a rehabilitated version of Snart. The one that we met this season isn't the Snart we know and love," Klemmer told Entertainment Weekly.
Captain Cold is already a full-on member of the Legion of Doom, when "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 returns. This is what co-Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim also told Screener TV.
However, how will the Legends react when they realize that Captain Cold is alive? What will they think when they find out that he is a member of the Legion of Doom? Especially for Rory aka Heatwave, how will he react when he sees Snart in the flesh?
Rory finally comes face-to-face with Snart after being haunted by the ghost of his former partner in crime in the past episodes of "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2. When they do meet, will Captain Cold recruit Rory to join the Legion of Doom?
Klemmer did not give an outright answer, but left the possibility open. He said that Captain Cold's return sets Rory up for a big backslide in "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2. It makes him rethink his choices, whether he should stay on the good side or join his partner, especially since they have always had each other's backs.
