Lionsgate released enough photos of Keanu Reeves and the rest of the cast members to hype up fans’ excitement for the legendary hitman’s return.
Fans can now check out the photos featuring Reeves, Ian McShane, Ruby Rose, Common, Peter Serafinowicz, and Laurence Fishburne for the upcoming return of John wick. In the recently released synopsis, it was revealed that the legendary hitman is forced back out of retirement by a former associate, plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassin’s guild. With the two bound by a blood oath, John flies to Rome to fight against the world’s deadliest killers.
According to Den of Geek, familiar faces from the first chapter will return for the chapter 2. However, there will also be new faces to be introduced such as rapper and actor Common, who plays the head of an unnamed female crime boss.
Ruby Rose will also be seen in “John Wick: Chapter 2,” although her exact role has not been announced yet, while Laurence Fishburne will play as Bowler King and Peter Stormare. Both Chad Stahelski and Reeves previously teased that the list of assassins that Wick will have to take on got even bigger in Chapter 2. Stahelski even shared that the Bowery King, whom Wick will have to meet later, will be some sort of his ally.
For those who have watched the movie, the plot and the action scenes may not have been different than the other action movies with the same theme, but with Keanu Reeves portraying the gunplay giving the momentum and style of the character, the photos speak for what to expect from Chad Stahelski and David Leitch’s John Wick. According to spoilers, this is just a glimpse of the excitement the movie has to offer.
“John Wick: Chapter 2” is set to hit theaters on Feb. 10 in the U.S. while U.K. will release it by Feb. 17.
