"Deadpool" director Tim Miller speaks up once more on the issue of leaving "Deadpool 2" but actually reveals that he didn't leave due to creative differences.

Just to recall, the earlier report from The Wrap pointed out that Miller left "Deadpool 2" project due to the style that he wanted for the movie and the casting choice for Cable. However, this may not be the case since the director actually countered that statement after reading the news on this issue for quite some time.

"I haven't talked since Deadpool 2, [since I] I stepped off the movie," Miller explained in an interview with CG Garage Podcast. "I didn't want to make some stylised movie that was three times the budget [...] I wanted to make the same kind of movie that we made before, because I think that's the right movie to make for the character."

"So don't believe what you read on the internet," the director added. "I wanted to do the same thing, Kyle Chandler was not going to be Cable."

"Deadpool 2" would have subtle creative differences if that was the case, since it would be attempting to reproduce the small cast/low budget style of the original.

The other rumors regarding Miller's argument with actor Ryan Reynolds and writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese have been blown out of proportion.

"All this stuff that I read kind of kills me," he explained. "Even when some people go 'the movie was really hard to make.' The movie was a joy to make - I think you see it onscreen. We all had such a good time - had a few arguments in post, but nothing more than usual."

This still begs the question of why the "Deadpool" director still left, which he never revealed in the interview. All he did was refute the previous statements of his departure. In spite of any reason why he left, Miller still wishes for the best for "Deadpool 2":

"I hope it's a great movie, because I love the character [...] and I want nothing but the best for the character."

An exact release date has yet to be revealed, but "Deadpool 2" has "John Wick" director David Leitch to helm the project, alongside a third film being in the planning stages.
