NBA News: Stephen Curry passes Steve Nash in all-time three point scoring list

Stephen Curry continues to climb higher in the in three-pointers list. This time he passes Steve Nash in the all-time 3-pointers list in 17th position.

In the 116-108 win against Minnesota Timberwolves, Curry splashed his 3-pointer to pass Nash in the 17th place of all-time list for 3-pointers according to CBS Bay Area. He has booked a total of 1,687 surpassing Nash by two.

Nash is now a player development consultant coach for the Warriors. He was pleased to be bumped by Curry. In his work with the Warriors, Nash often works closely with Curry, so he consider it as fun.

“It’s always fun to see the young guys climb the charts,” Nash said through the Golden State Warriors spokeperson. “I expect that he will be much higher on that list before he is finished with his incredible career.”

Curry continues to drill three-pointers in every game night. With his current 3-point streak, he is predicted to reach the Top 10 list by the end of this season. He only needs to make 21 more three-pointers to surpass Dirk Nowitzki and 28 to tie J.R. Smith. On top of the list is Ray Allen with 2973, followed by Reggie Miller with 2560.

He is now averaging 3.8 made 3-pointers per game this season as reported by CBS Sports. Curry is known to have a distinctive style in firing his 3-pointers which makes it difficult to block because he can release the shooting very fast with a very high accuracy.

The 28-year old point guard is also the record holder for most 3-pointers in one game. He made 13 from 17 in November during the 116-106 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
