Golden State Warriors denies the speculation that they plan to trade Klay Thompson to Boston Celtics. Celtics TV analyst Brian Scalabrine initiated the rumor on Monday.

Scalabrine first initiated rumor about trade between Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors as reported by CBS Sports. On an interview with SirusXM NBA radio on Monday he said that he heard and read rumors about trade between the Warriors and Celtics to stengthen the Warriors back court.

According to USA Today, they have interviewed a source from the Golden State Warriors which said the Warriors will not trade Thompson to any team.
But Thompson, the two-time All-Star is a valuable assets for the Warriors and a tandem of Stephen Curry in the back court. Together they have delivered a barrage of three pointers to the opponents rim. Therefore, the speculation is not true.

This may not be the last time for Thompson to be mentioned in the trade rumors. Especially, he is known to be a slow starter which may trigger the rumors. Thompson need several games in the beginning of the season, before he returned to his shooting form.

Thompson started the season with a shooting slump, making only 19.6 percent three-pointer in the first six games, scoring 9 out of 46 shooting attempts. He even recorded the second worst in the NBA three pointers just above Robert Covington from the 76ers with 16.7 percent.

This is similar to last season, when he started slow with only 25 percent accuracy. He improved his shooting approaching the year end with 43.3 percent accuracy.

This season, his engine started to warm up in the last three games, knocking down 12 of 19 three point shooting attempts. In the game against Phoenix Suns last Sunday. He posted 30 points and shooting 5 out of 8 three-pointers.
