Charles Xavier's (Professor X) son is having a tough time in the new clips released for "Legion." These clips are titled, "Begin," "Powerful," "Normal," "MRI," and "Feel."

While life is especially challenging for mutants in the "X-Men" universe, but David Haller, the title character in "Legion" is facing an entirely internal set of challenges that may or may not be actually be happening outside his mind.

"Legion" has been painted as a story about the struggles of a telepathic and telekinetic mutant with a multiple personality disorder. In his attempt to understand his mutant abilities, he gets diagnosed as a schizophrenic and spends much of his time with doctors inside a psychiatric hospital.

The series will likely begin at a point where Haller's power has already fully manifested, Screen Rant reported.  The 5 clips shows the progression of his struggles with his powers and how it extends physically and externally. This clips were done with eye-popping visuals that stresses the psychological struggle in the titular character's perspective.

The biggest mystery is in the clip "Feel" where the title character gets a grip by "feeling better" but the reason behind it is unclear.

"Legion" is a collaboration between Fox and Marvel. How "Legion" will fit within the "X-Men" universe or Marvel universe is yet to be explored but FX CEO John Landgraf clarified that the series will not be a continuity of the current "X-Men" films, Slash Film reported.

The series is based on the 1985 comic book series "New Mutants." It tells the story of a man who has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals until a strange encounter with another patient leads him to think that the voices and strange visions in his head are real.
