"Civilization VI" reportedly wants to add a huge Earth map with more than 50 civilizations.

Modders added over 50 civilizations that can be set in YnAEM. The mod is reportedly in Alpha 3 state (still needs further testing) with 500 turns in autoplay and 32 civilizations without issue, PC Gamer reported. As it stands, the PC used for testing is powerful with a Core i7 4770K, 16 GB RAM, 6GB VRAM GPU specs.

Given its size, Gedemon noted that the mod may or may not load on PC if not powerful enough. Still, there is no word about the minimal configuration needed to run the mod.

"Warning: The Giant map is already way above the size of the huge map, it may or may not load on your PC (and will take some time to do so). The Ludicrous map is the max map size before the game refuse to load, and will take more than 4-5 minutes to load (or crash). I'd suggest lowering the texture size in the video option - the game used almost all the 6GB of VRAM of my GPU," Gedemon wrote, Eurogamer reported.

"Civilization VI" is a turn-based 4X video game developed by Firaxis Games and published under 2K Games. The gameplay includes one or more players competing alongside computer-controlled AI opponents to grow their individual civilizations to control the entire planet across different periods of developments based on 4X elements of "eXplore, eXpand, and eXterminate."

The sixth instalment now includes improvements such as unstacked military installations from the main city. There is also an old-fashioned drawn map approach to illustrate tiles that have yet to be explored.
