Microsoft will release its new generation of Surface Tablet in October event. Microsoft aimed the Surface Pro 5 to be another advancement in the tablet PC.
Surface Pro 5 is expected to be another milestone in tablet PC after its successful Surface Pro 4 in 2015. According to CNET, Microsoft has successfully convinced users about Surface Pro 4 as laptop replacement.
The Surface Pro 4, launched October 2015, has a powerful CPU with Intel Skylake technology, bigger RAM and a thinner bezel that gives a better display and greater resolution. However, it inherited similar problem with its predecessor in power management. Microsoft Surface Pro 4 was unable to sleep properly when is not in ue, so its battery drained very fast.
Microsoft expected to address the power management problems in the Surface Pro 5 which rumored to be launched in this year's October event. Surface Pro 5 was rumored to be launched in June to rival the new Apple MacBook Pro, but neither Apple nor Microsoft released their device last June.
This October, according to The Verge, there will be at least one Surface Pro 5, to be launched in the special event. The special event will be held on Oct. 26 in New York City to be a showcase of the Windows 10 OS and its supported devices. The new Surface device, Xbox-related announcement and update on Windows 10 will be introduced in the event.
The speculation about Surface Pro 5 arose when leaked trailer of the fifth generation of Surface devise was circulated to public. The leaked trailer showed a concept of Surface Pro 5 with a laptop class keyboard, 12.3-inch display and front facing speaker. It also exhibited Surface 5 Pro to be the thinner device with 7.6 mm thickness. powered with Windows 10 Pro with a 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD storage.
Another features in its keyboard is a new connector and fingerprint reader. Surface Pro 5 also has a new stylus with magnetic pen storage.
