Nokia will make a comeback in the smartphone market with its new Android smartphones and tablet. The former mobile phone giant is preparing four Android devices in this year's Q4.

As the former giant in mobile phone landscape, Nokia still has big capacity to build a good smartphone. According  GSM Arena, Nokia is preparing three to four smartphones and tablets for release in Q4 this year.

Previously, the picture of the allegedly new Nokia smartphone was leaked in January and appear on Weibo, China's social media. Since then, many speculated that Nokia will make a comeback in the smartphone landscape.

The comeback of the Finnish telecommunication company into the market it once dominated is imminent. According to NDTV president of joint management team at Nokia China Mike Wang has confirmed in August that Nokia will release 3-4 devices. Although Wang did not mention specific details about the devices, but report suggested the company will release two flagship phone and one mid-range smartphone.

Following the deal with Microsoft in 2014, Nokia focused its business on the telecommunication infrastructure through its Nokia Networks division. Microsoft sold back the Nokia' brand and its infrastructure to Nokia Corporation in May 2016. Nokia assigned the Nokia brand to HMD Global, a part of Nokia group and the manufacturing to Taiwan-based contract manufacturing company Foxconn.

HMD Global become the only global licensee for all Nokia-branded mobile phones and tablets, while Foxconn will become the sole manufacturer and distributor for all Nokia brand.

Nokia tested the market by launching Nokia N1 in January 2015 in China and Taiwan. The 8-inch tablet was powered Intel Atom SoC processor with 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal storage. The tablet runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with customized Z launcher, and dual camera - 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front camera.

Following the launching of Nokia N1 tablet, Nokia prepares to launch its next tablet and smartphone product. One of them is a big screen 13.8-inch tablet Nokia D1C which is reported to run Android 7.0 Nougat.
