"The Batman" actor Joe Manganiello (Deathstroke) is rooting for Anna Kendrick to be the female version of Robin in the DCEU. The actor went to post an image in social media to show his support.

In the comic books, Robin was used to attract young readers to the "Batman" series. Several characters donned the persona, one of whom is a girl named Stephanie Brown, who volunteered for the role upon Tim Drake's resignation.
Recently, Kendrick playfully pitched to Ben Affleck the idea of gender-swapping Robin for a female role in "The Batman," MTV News reported. While her pitch might be said in jest, fans are now toying the idea since all of the incarnations of the characters had been played by male actors from Burt Ward to Chris O'Donnell and to Joseph-Gordon Levitt.
In the past, Kendrick had already expressed interest in playing superhero roles. She said that she would be perfect to play Marvel's Squirrel Girl, Nerdist reported.
The DCEU has yet to cast Batman's wingman for any upcoming film. Likewise, there had been no announcement whether the character will be included in the future at all. However, when it comes to superhero sidekicks, Robin is probably the most important if not the most popular in the comic book universe.
Meanwhile, Kendrick and Affleck are busy promoting their film, "The Accountant" that is now sitting on top of box-office hit with a $24.7 million debut surpassing WB's expectation for the film, Vulture reported.
