"Harry Potter" creator J.K. Rowling has announced that "Fantastic Beasts" will comprise of five films. Rowling revealed the news on the upcoming film's Twitter page.

In an interview, Rowling said that they always knew "Fantastic Beasts" will start a slew of instalments for the franchise, BBC reported.
"We always knew it was going to be more than one movie, and we said a trilogy as a place holder." Initially "Fantastic Beasts" was supposed to be trilogy but the author added, "But I've done the plotting properly and I'm pretty sure it's going to be five movies," she said.
The anticipation for "Fantastic Beasts" had been building up ever since it was announced that the film will be set in the Wizarding World of "Harry Potter." "Fantastic Beasts" takes place 70 years before the "Harry Potter" saga took place. However, Rowling clarified that the film will not be a prequel to "Harry Potter" films.
The film follows Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander who is in pursuit of recovering a slew of magical beasts that were released from his magical briefcase. Scamander is one of the fictional authors mentioned in the "Harry Potter" films.
In the past, the eight "Harry Potter" films grossed over $7.7 billion in total, making it one of the largest cultural phenomenons in history. There is no doubt that "Fantastic Beasts" may have the same warm reception with the backing of massive "Harry Potter" fans, Screen Rant reported.
Rowling herself, penned the script for the film with David Yates at the helm. The film is slated for release on November 18, 2016.
