There's even more reason for fans to get excited with the upcoming "Beyond Good & Evil 2." Just recently the game's creator Michel Ancel just released another teaser image in his Instagram that could very well be tied to the sequel of Ubisoft's 2003 adventure game.

Based on reports from Gamespot, the creator of "Beyond Good & Evil" just posted an image of an anthropomorphic shark on his Instagram. The shark is somewhat reminiscent of one of the prominent characters in the first game, Rufus, a hovercraft racer who usually hung out at the Akuda bar.

To tickle the curiosity of the fans even further, Ancel even captioned the image: "Ready for the fight, independence #ubisoft day." This would more or less mean that Ubisoft would be holding a shareholders meeting sometime yesterday. More rumors would involve Vivendi being part of the board of meeting as well.

Earlier on Sept. 27, Michel Ancel posted another image in Instagram that possibly had "Beyond Good & Evil 2" written all over it. According to The Verge, the image showed an engineer-looking man with a full beard and wearing goggles working on something. On his shoulder is a young piglet humanoid that may be a younger version (or at least somehow a relative) of the key character Pey'j.

The upcoming sequel gave gamers a sneak peek back then in 2008, but hasn't been heard from since. Now during E3 2016, Ubisoft chief executive Yves Guillemot was able to confirm that "Beyond Good & Evil 2" is still very much alive, but wasn't really clear if the game was currently in active development or even when it will be released.

It was mentioned earlier at an interview that Guillemot isn't in a rush to push "Beyond Good & Evil 2" for release. He stressed that his team wants to "come up with something that will be a revolution." The Ubisoft chief executive also said that he wouldn't just want to make a mere sequel, but a "fantastic 'Beyond Good & Evil 2.'"
