"Dead Rising 4" has just released a new trailer bringing viewers back to the mall and Frank West "mauling" the shambling undead in different ways once more.
News site Dark Horizons just did a cover on the latest trailer that was released on the official channel of Xbox in YouTube. The main character Frank West is shown revisiting the largest mall in Colorado called Willamette Mall. This is a nod to the original "Dead Rising" game not only because the return of the original protagonist and the setting as well.
Cinema Blend also described the trailer as the heroic reporter took some shots of the mall exterior. Upon entering the mall to get a view, he suddenly encountered a horde of zombies waiting for him. Next scene describes a montage of Frank West slaughtering the walking dead, like using the one of the most typical weapons in zombie killing, a chainsaw.
Just like in the previous games, there are numerous, "creative" in dispatching these relentless undead in "Dead Rising 4." It's more than just running around, hacking and slashing and smashing and even shooting. The latest game featured kneeing zombies in the face or setting them on fire with fireworks. The katana makes its return as well just in case players want to have the samurai feel in dealing with the hordes of enemies.
As shown in previous trailers, Frank West can operate in a mech suit to, of course, deliver even more destruction. If players are not in the mood to use the mech's destructive arsenal, they can ram them through with its physical capabilities, as well punching and ripping them half.
"Dead Rising 4" is looking at Dec. 6 release for the Xbox One and PC. PlayStation 4 will be getting its own version by next year.
