A new live-action movie is about to hit theaters soon. Capcom producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto, revealed at the Tokyo Game Show that "Monster Hunter" is a movie on-the-go.

The proclamation surfaced after Capcom broadcast "Monster Hunter Stories" new trailer. As the name implies, it would be a more story-like directed spin-off to the typically plot-like core games. However, the premeditated movie will not be manipulated upon adapting the story's development.

According to "Monster Hunter" series producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto, though it isn't relevant to Stories, there will be a Hollywood movie accustomedness of the major series being developed.

Wired has learned that the series was initially introduced in Japan in 2004 for the PlayStation 2. Gaining a humble accomplishment, the original game developed the franchise's desire for grind-heavy battle. This prompts players to hunt down monsters and produce powerful armor and weapons out of the monster's skin and bones.

The series became even more successful when it jumped to portable consoles of Sony's PSP. During the year 2005-2010, it made four entries before transitioning to 3DS in 2011. Since then, Nintendo's console has been the main domain of the series.

Since "Monster Hunter" could not quite break a story in the west, it keeps on drawing in more new players. Its make-believe settings could transpose well to the silver screen.

Previously in 2012, the director of Resident Evil, Paul W.S. Anderson showed enthusiasm in directing a "Monster Hunter" movie. But there is no suggestion that Anderson is engaged in the present movie. Tsujimoto didn't either disclose any information on who will direct the film, its release date or even the characters, Engadget reported.

Nevertheless, another movie adaptation of a video game is in the making and will not be related to the series itself. If that is the case, maybe the moviegoers can expect more and larger monsters as well as state-of-the-art weapons. It might also feature casts who used to be villains or heroes.
