Blizzard Entertainment revealed it will launch a "Starcraft" remastered version this coming September. The announcement is expected to proceed with more unveilings in November at the BlizzCon's event in Anaheim.

Korean's first online newspaper, iNews24, said that Blizzard will unveil "StarCraft" HD to the general public this September, and the remastered version will keep the exact gameplay but with enhanced graphics resolution and a new user interface, as cited by Kotaku.

Although it is not clear if the "Starcraft" HD remaster has features of 2D or 3D graphics, it remains as one the most played Real-time Strategy (RTS) games. The video game is not too distant from other well-known titles including League of Legends and Overwatch in terms of the trend with Korean internet café players, Tech Times reported.

With Earth's 25th century as its backdrop, the game is centered on three species struggling for control in a far-off place of Koprulu Sector in the Milky Way galaxy. The first species is called ''Terrans,'' which are skilled humans who could conform to any circumstances. Second species is known as the "Zerg,'' which is an insect-like alien in métier to produce pure beings. The third species is called the "Protoss," which are human-like creatures with psychic powers and trying to accomplish the preservation of their civilization.

Furthermore, "StarCraft II" World Championship Series tournament will end in September which is a month behind the BlizzCon event. Mexico City will host the final competition from Sept. 10 to 11. It just makes sense that the announcement or a teaser for the HD remake falls on the same month.
