Pokémon Go is entertaining the game lovers since the time it has been released in July. And now, the "Pokémon Go Plus" wearable accessory is all set for sale.
"Pokémon Go Plus" wearable accessory is about to go on sale to the public. Just a few hours after Niantic appeared on stage during the launch of Apple's iPhone 7, Nintendo and the Pokémon Company announced the release date of the device. The wearable mobile game accessory is available for pre-order yet again, and will start shipping from September 16.
According to Forbes, the wearable device initially opened up with an official price that was announced in June and shipping that was set for July. The Wearable device costing $34.00 is now available in stores.
The decision to create the device rather than create a smart watch app was to increase uptake among players for whom a smart watch is prohibitively expensive. It is set for release in the United Kingdom and North America on September 16.
The game's extended launch began on July 6, 2016, with releases in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. Due to server strain from high demand upon release, Niantic CEO John Hanke stated that the release in other regions was to be "paused until Niantic was comfortable" fixing the issues.
Pokémon Go was released with mixed reviews, critics praising the game's concept and the incentive to be more active in the real world, while criticizing frequent technical issues apparent at launch. Despite such reviews, it quickly became a global phenomenon and was one of the most used mobile apps in 2016, having been downloaded more than 500 million times worldwide.
Game lovers of United Kingdom and North America can expect its release today.
