"New Girl" Season 6 may have Nick and Jess back together according to reports. Megan Fox who plays Reagan will return for a major stint in the midseason of the comedy series.
In Season 5, Nick moved to New Orleans with Reagan while Jess had to grapple the fact that Sam is in love with someone else. However, all hope is not lost for a reunion between the two. In an interview, showrunner Liz Meriwether hinted that Nick and Jess may get back together, Bustle reported.
Talking about the present dynamic between the ex-lovers, Meriwether said that the guest characters will help them find their way back to each other.
"I love the two of them together, and I think this season we did a good job of using the guest stars to be catalysts to the Nick-Jess relationship. I think we're going back into that story area, but hopefully with growth for both characters and a new dynamic that will be still give us some tension between them," she told THR.
On the other hand, Fox will not make an appearance until the mid-season finale because the actress is on maternity leave, TV Line reported. Sources say that Raegan will not be with Nick when the latter reappears at the loft in Season 6.
Fox temporarily filled in for Zooey Deschanel when the actress went to maternity leave. The producers were impressed with her stint that she was booked for additional episodes later in the season.
