"The Winds of Winter" is not yet ready to come out as opposed by the date posted by Amazon France which is March 9, 2017, but later on denied by Random House. George R.R. Martin will announce it himself as soon as he is done. The book emphasizes on Oberyn's niece, Arianne Martell.

Rumors and speculations never end as to when George R.R. Martin will be able to finish his sixth book since it's been five years already when the fifth book "A Dance With Dragons" was released in 2011. Many hoped that the next book will be out this year knowing that the span from the last publication is wide. Considerably, it's enough time to finish another anticipated book. But as months pass by, it seems that fans are waiting for nothing.

Hope came back for the disappointed fans when out of the blue, Amazon France posted a new listing of books that are available for purchase and upcoming books including Martin's "The Winds of Winter". The controversial book has an alleged release date of March 9, 2017, which was later on denied by Random House, as reported by CNET.

"Any on-sale dates currently listed online for the novel are incorrect. Once we have a publication date for 'The Winds of Winter,' the world will know," according to Random House in a statement.

Martin divides chapters from the new book and the latest excerpt in May emphasizes on Arianne Martell, Oberyn's niece. Here is a paragraph from the excerpt itself:

"Dead, but not forgotten," said Arianne, who had spent half her life wishing Prince Oberyn had been her father. "You are a Sand Snake, and Prince Doran would pay any price to keep you and your sisters safe from harm." That made the child smile at least. "Do I have your sworn word? Or must I send you back?"

Martin's blog in 2014 stated that he never played games with news regarding the books since he knows how many people are waiting in vain for the book to come out. He is still working on "The Game of Thrones" sixth book and when it's done he will announce it himself. Moreover, there will be no codes to unlock or any concealed meanings.

There is nothing that Martin can do right now but to make haste and be regretful for the delay in the release of the sixth book.

Meanwhile, a report last week stated that a new International Standard Book Number was recorded for "The Winds of Winter" - 9780553801538 - which could be a sign that a release is coming, according to Independent.

Fans are still wondering how many winters will they have to wait for the "The Winds of Winter" to come. They have waited long enough and are still willing.
