"Game of Thrones" will reportedly have Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) visit her family's Dragonpit first when she docks in the shores of Westeros.

In the season finale of "Game of Thrones" Season 6, Daenerys is finally seen crossing the narrow sea with a huge army of her own. Fans theorize that she will not immediately launch an attack. Instead, keen viewers expect her to lay down the framework of her masterplan to claim the iron throne, Screen Rant reported.

The Dragonpit is a structure located on a hill in King's Landing where the Targaryens used to house their royal dragons. Over the years, the Dragonpit was destroyed with only a few ruins remaining.

Apparently, dragons bred in the pit grew smaller and more deformed so the prospect of having Daenerys keep her dragons there is unlikely. However, given its location is in a hill overlooking King's Landing, it might provide a good vantage point where Danaerys can stage her attack in the city.

Earlier, it was reported that the series is eyeing the Roman ruins called Italica in Santiponce, Seville which includes a colosseum with a sunken pit at the center, as the place for the Dragonpit, Watchers on the Wall reported. However, the "Game of Thrones" crew is actually in Northern Ireland where there is an on-going construction activity in the village of Corbet where much of the siege of Riverrun action happened in the previous season. This too, could be a potential location to shoot the Dragonpit.

"Game of Thrones" will return for Season 7 in the summer of 2017.
