"Guardians of the Galaxy" franchise director James Gunn broke his silence regarding the allegedly leaked spoilers for the upcoming film.

An internet user under pseudo-name 4chan posted several details about the upcoming sequel. 4chan leaked that Mantis (to be played by Pom Klementieff) in "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" is actually Peter Quill's / Star-Lord's (played by Chris Pratt) half-sister. Vin Diesel's character was also said to appear as Baby Groot.

In a live video chart on his Facebook page, Gunn confirmed the leaked information about Groot by was short of confirming whether the rumor about Mantis is true but he did reconfirm that Mantis will be in the movie, Comic Book News reported.

Gunn also debunked the rumor that Sylvester Stallone will appear in the movie as a member of an alien race called, The Ancients. However, Gunn did say that Stallone will be in the film playing "someone," but "we don't know who."

Then Gunn went to say that Yondu (Michael Rooker) and Nebula's (Karen Gillan) roles in "Guardians of the Galaxy" will be a little more nuanced than just joining the good guys. Other leaks that were not mentioned is the detail about Infinity Stones and the ending of the film.

Gunn confirmed earlier that the sequel will not feature any Infinity Stones but did not say whether the stones will be referenced, Screen Rant reported. He also failed to address the leak that "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" will lead directly to the plot of "Avengers: Infinity War."

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" opens on May 5, 2017.
