Apple Inc., will soon release the iPhone 7 which is the last model carrying the iconic home button.
Yibada reported that the company will release iPhone 6SE and 6SE this year. iPhone 7, rumoured to be marketed on 2017, will be allotted for the 10th year anniversary of the brand.
The American brand is set to redesign its units for 2017. Some of the reported new features include the OLED front panel, all-glass materials and absence of home button to improve the phone's display. A curved body with new biometrics and wireless charging feature are also expected from new Apple phones.
The future look of these smartphones has been on plan since 2014 making the removal of the home button a long term goal for the company. Further, the model to be released this year is reported to have a pressure-sensitive ID module that is considered to be a progress in the making of the company's targeted design.
MacWorld also reported that the removal of home button is made possible by AMOLED display technology and 3D touch. These features are comparable with the trackpad of new MacBook models that have no click button but are jampacked with vibrations and sensors.
In addition, the all-glass frames of new models are assumed to have a rigid metal support inside. This new design will not only improve the aesthetic of the units but will also save manufacturer's expense due to less usage of metals.
Basically, all components of the old models including the front facing camera, speaker, touch ID sensor will be on the display. However, some critics are still curious about the incorporation of these components on the display as these may result to larger phone screens in future designs.
