Although there hasn't been confirmation from NetherRealm Studios for another downloadable content (DLC) of "Mortal Kombat X," fans are keeping their hopes up as game director Ed Boon continues to drop hints for the next pack which will be called "Kombat Pack 3."
On August 3, the game director posted a survey on Twitter asking his followers if they would buy an Xbox One S, alongside options yes, no and "Kombat Pack 3." While this made every "Mortal Kombat X" fan excited, some of them asked Boon to stop trolling and just release the next DLC.
According to reports, NetherRealm Studios has already released two DLCs for "Mortal Kombat X" since it hit the shelves on April 14, 2015. The two "Kombat Packs" added a total of eight new characters for the fighting game including Bo'Rai Cho, Alien, Leatherface and Triborg.
While Boon continues to be cryptic about "Kombat Pack 3," rumors are loud that the third DLC will be released in 2017. Reports stated that the upcoming DLC will also feature new characters and skins just like the previous "Kombat Pack"; however, fans are hopeful the next DLC will include Baraka as one of the new fighting characters.
Meanwhile, NetherRealm Studios seemed to have granted the fans' wishes for a PC version of "Mortal Kombat XL," as prominent "Mortal Kombat" player Brant McCaskill revealed a PC beta of "Mortal Kombat XL" is currently available on Steam, Event Hubs noted.
McCaskill said, "MKXL PC BETA IS OUT - beta ends Aug 29th/day before Aug 30th. Tuesdays are "release days" for all entertainment products. PATCH DAY COMING." Aside from that, Boom also dropped a potential hint for a new balance patch through an illustration of a balancing man alongside a photo of Robin Williams as Patch Adams.
