Marvel's "Ant-Man" actor Paul Rudd answered questions about the perceived lack of announcements surrounding "Ant-Man and the Wasp." Apparently, the film is still in early development but director Peyton Reed has a few inspirations in mind.

"We've been coming up with the story, just turned in a treatment, but it's so preliminary. We'll see. We have an idea of what it might look like, but it could change a lot from where we're at now. So I don't really know. There's not really anything concrete I can tell you," Rudd told ET Online.

The film was the only MCU Phase 3 film that was not mentioned during Marvel Studios' Hall H panel at the recently concluded San Diego Comic-Con.

"Ant-Man and the Wasp" is scheduled for release two years from now. Marvel Studios' has yet to produce a script for the film with Rudd who is also part of the writer's room. Clue: the plot for the film will likely be influenced by what happened in "Captain America: Civil War," Reed told Modern Myth Media.

Reed is excited to explore the full potential of a duo superhero at the center of the next "Ant-Man" instalment. Reed said that they would possibly draw inspiration from early "Avengers" comic books that includes both Ant-Man (played by Paul Rudd) and the Wasp (to be played by Evangeline Lily).

"For me as a comic nerd, I always thought of Ant-Man and Wasp as a team and that's a lot of what the second movie is really about is how they work together, what their personal and professional relationships are like," he said.

Meanwhile, one character who might appear in "Ant-Man and the Wasp" will be played by Sharon Stone. Stone dropped hints that the superhero role she booked possesses heat-related powers. Such character reportedly appears in the flashbacks of the first "Ant-Man."
