In a shocking admission, FX network CEO John Landgraf admitted that all teasers of the upcoming "American Horror Story" Season 6, except one, are fake and were released to misdirect viewers.

Landgraf made the admission at the Television Critics Association panel yesterday, Vulture reported. He told the audience that Stephanie Gibbons and her team, along with Ryan, created many teasers for hypothetical seasons of the horror anthology series, revolving around on different genres and different places. He further revealed that only one of them is accurate and they were just having fun with it.

The revelation has certainly hurt fans and some are also annoyed. Nevertheless, some are looking for clues to pinpoint the real teaser for "American Horror Story" Season 6. The theme of time travel is highly unlikely as Landgraf had hinted at only one theme, time, place, and setting, Bustle reported. Though many scenes look scary with the staple gun thing being super terrifying, the shadowy family possessing glowing eyes seems to be the authentic story.

This is because it gels well with the photos shared by TMZ that was reportedly from the sets of "American Horror Story." It seems the theme is centered on the extinct colony of Roanoke. Notably, a group of English settlers, totaling 117 in number had come to the island in 1578 and by 1590, there was no sign of those people. They had vanished from the place and if one takes the trailer of the ghostly family into account, it is not difficult to see the two syncing with each other.

The "Milli Crossing," "Post Op," "What's Cooking," and "Descent" are low on reality. However, "Lullaby" and "Sunset Stroll" has credible stuff, which is more authentic and also carries Murphy's signature.

Season 6 of "American Horror Story" returns to FX, on 14 September.
