"American Horror Story" Season 6 is scheduled to premiere next month, but currently, the details are still under wraps. Many trailers have surfaced but they are not all spot on, which is why fans of the supernatural anthology are eager to find out even just this year's theme.

"There are many more trailers than you've actually seen for hypothetical seasons of American Horror Story - different genres, different places," Vulture quoted FX network CEO Landgraf said during the Television Critics Association press tour. "One of them is accurate; the others are all misdirects."

Some of the supposed promo teasers include "Lullaby," "Descent," "Post Op," "Milli Crossing," "Sunset Stroll," and "What's Cooking." The first one seems to be the most likely theme for "American Horror Story" Season 6 because of the elements included. In addition, it can be remembered that Entertainment Weekly reported before that the theme would involve children, which strengthens the theory.

There is one speculation that might also have merit, and that is Season 6 will be set in the late 1500s during the pilgrim era. Leaked images posted by TMZ on Aug. 1 shows a tree trunk engraved with the word "CROATOAN," the name of a small group of Native Americans who lived in the area now known as Dare County, North Carolina.

Governor John White returned to Roanoke in 1590 to find the words "croatoan" carved on a tree.

The carving is like what Englishman John White (1540-1590) was gesturing to in a sketch of his return to the Roanoke Island, aka the "Lost Colony" in 1590. The place holds its own mystery as more than 100 people there reportedly went missing without a trace.

While the theme is still unknown, TV Line confirmed that "American Horror Story" actress Sarah Paulson will be returning in Season 6. The others who are said to be coming back are Cheyenne Jackson, Lady Gaga, and Angela Bassett.

"American Horror Story" Season 6 will premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 14, on FX.
