Tyler Hoechlin, who played the role of Derek Hale in the MTV TV Series "Teen Wolf," silenced the rumors of him returning to "Teen Wolf" Season 6, with an indirect "no."

According to the Christian Times, although the actor is "open to coming back [to the show] anytime in the future," he "doesn't have any plans to right now." The actor explained that the way things ended in Season 4 "wrapped it up" for his character, and by passing the baton to Scott to lead the alphas, his character has truly fulfilled his purpose on the show. He added that because of the way his character was concluded on the show, he didn't know "which way he would come back into this world, exactly."

While it may sadden fans to hear that Derek will no longer be coming back to the show, it may cheer them up to hear that Stiles Stilinski will soon be back on-screen this coming sixth season. However, he will be temporarily played by another actor, as Dylan O'Brien continues to recover from his injuries from filming the latest installment of the movie series, "The Maze Runner."

For this reason, the MTV production team is still looking for a casting double to play Stiles for flashback scene shots in "Teen Wolf" Season 6. Although, producer James Davis clarified in an interview that despite this, O'Brien will not be replaced by any other actor and the show will wait until he is in perfect condition to film stunt scenes again.

Meanwhile, MTV News reported that Scott McCall (played by Tyler Posey) will be "without a girlfriend" in the upcoming "Teen Wolf" Season 6. After falling in love with Alison, breaking up, and meeting Kira, the character found himself with "not much single time," and even though this character development is new to Posey, it is a characteristic he can relate with to his personal life. The actor shared that "this is the first two years [he's] really single," and he thinks that it is a stage that "every person has to go through in their life" in order to "really figure out who they are."

"Teen Wolf" Season 6 is slated to premiere on MTV this November.
