South Korean singer-actress IU blooms in a photo shoot with Cosmopolitan Korea, together with her flower boys in the upcoming drama series "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Goryeo."

According to Soompi, Cosmopolitan Korea shared two gifs from its latest photo shoot with IU and her male co-stars. The posts were captured, "What you have been waiting for. The complete team of 'Scarlet Heart: Goryeo.'"

In one of the gifs, IU posed with main leads Lee Joon Gi and Kang Ha Neul. In another, they are joined by the other cast members, including Hong Jong Hyun, Ji Soo, Nam Joo Hyuk, Yoon Sun Woo and EXO's Baekhyun.

Active promotions for "Moon Lovers" are underway as the SBS drama series has completed its production in June 30. Lead star Lee Joon Gi commented, "I hope that I can become a huge strength to this drama, and I think I was able to wrap things up on a good note thanks to the many people who helped, as well as due to the guidance of all the actors, director, and staff members."

"Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Goryeo" is a fantasy series that follows Hae Soo (IU), a modern day woman who travels back in time to the Goryeo Dynasty. There, she enters a palace full of princes, but falls in love with the fourth prince, Wang So (Lee Joon Gi). Aside from the romantic aspect, the story also presents the politics and rivalry within the empire.

Kang Ha Neul is the eighth prince, Wang Wook, the ambitious prince who is vying for Hae Soo's affection and the throne. Hong Jong Hyun plays the third prince, who dreams of being the king. Baekhyun plays the tenth prince, Wang Eun, who is described as the "mischievous young blood."

Being the sole female lead surrounded by a group of handsome co-stars definitely makes IU the subject of fans' envy.

According to Drama Fever, "Scarlet Heart Goryeo" is a remake of the popular Chinese drama series "Scarlet Heart." "The Winter, the Wind Blows" director Kim Kyo Tae is producing the SBS series.

"Scarlet Heart Goryeo" will premiere on Aug. 29, after "Doctors" wraps up. The show will run with 20 episodes.
