"Game of Thrones" actor Liam Cunningham might be bulking up for the upcoming seventh season of the hit HBO fantasy series.

The Irish actor, best known for playing Ser Davos in the series, has started working with UFC coach John Kavanagh earlier this month, and the reason for his intense combat training could be tied to his storyline on "Game of Thrones."

Kavanagh has been spilling the details in social media, teasing fans that Cunnigham's Davos Seaworth is under his wing for the moment in case he loses his sword in a fight sequence.

While his words are definitely a strong teaser for Game of Thrones fans, it is does not confirm that Cunningham will be tied to more combat scenes in season 7.

In other Game of Thrones news, the creators of the show have revealed that the upcoming seventh season might be aired on a later date due to some weather issues.

"We don't have an air date yet, but next year will probably be a little bit later," co-creator DB Weiss said in a report from TV Guide.

"We're starting a little bit later because, you know, the end of the season 'Winter is here,' and that means sunny weather doesn't really serve our purposes anymore."

Weiss added that they have planned to bump the start of production so they can shoot under a grim, grey weather which is the prominent setting for the show.

HBO has not yet commented whether or not they will push the premiere of "Game of Thrones" Season 7 on a later date, but it is expected to run for a shorter season with more or less seven episodes.
