Former "Harry Potter" star Tom Felton lands a role in CW's superhero series "The Flash," as he is set to play the character of Julian Dorn and will be a regular in "The Flash" Season 3.
Julian Dorn works as a CSI for the Central City Police Department who investigates on Barry Allen, believing that there is more to him than just an ordinary forensic scientist. His role in "The Flash" Season 3 is considered to be duplicitous as he may also be a villain, given the dark secrets that he also tries to hide.
The duplicity of his role lead fans to speculate that he will eventually evolve into the main villain in "The Flash" Season 3. According to Movie Pilot, fans want Felton's character to evolve into Godspeed, a new villain recently introduced in DC Rebirth. In the comic, Barry worked with August Heart, a CSI assistant who gets struck by lightning. In the second issue of the comics, Heart evolves into a speedster called Godspeed.
But news from the same source reveals that Felton's character will not turn into Godspeed in "The Flash" Season 3 because the comic book character is all too new. Critic's opinion state that it is improbable to add the character in the TV series, given that there is still not much development in the comic counterpart.
Meanwhile, Grant Gustin, a.k.a Barry Allen, confirmed via Headlines and Global News that the Flashpoint storyline is indeed happening in "The Flash" Season 3. Jesse Wells, played by Violet Beane, will also return, but it is not confirmed yet if she will have her powers.
The Flashpoint impacts all the characters in the story differently, and Beane said that it will turn their dimension into some kind of false reality so anything could happen.
"The Flash" Season 3 will return to CW on Oct. 4.
