Marvel fans waiting for "Daredevil" Season 3 may have to wait longer, as it is reportedly delayed, and even its main star Charlie Cox does not know if the popular superhero series will return to Netflix.
According to MNR Daily, one of the reasons for the delay may be attributed to the fact that Netflix is currently prioritizing its project "The Defenders," which is another collaboration with Marvel. "The Defenders" is another superhero series that will show all the superheroes in the Netflix/Marvel universe together in one show. Naturally, a lot of fans are anticipating the show, and there has already been much hype about it as it will include Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist.
Speaking in a Netflix event in Paris a few months ago, Cox admitted that there has been no news yet about the "Daredevile" Season 3, and he is uncertain if they will make another one. The actor, however, expressed his excitement about "The Defenders," and said that while he does not yet know the storyline it will take, he is very excited to see how the four superheroes will combine.
According to Christian Today, it is odd that "Daredevil" Season 3 has not been renewed officially by Netflix, given that it has been three months since Season 2 ended, while it only took days for the streaming company to renew the show for the second season after its initial run.
Since "Daredevil" Season 2 saw Frank Castle (The Punisher) join Daredevil in the show, Cox expressed that if there will ever be a "Daredevil" Season 3, it should include main Daredevil nemesis Bullseye.
