Gary made an announcement that shocked everyone yesterday. He admitted to getting married on April 5 and his bride is not a celebrity.
On his Instagram account, the former "Running Man" member posted a photo of a tree with clear blue sky as backdrop and it was accompanied by a short message that reads:
"Today, I got married to the person I love. We did not have a wedding ceremony but we decided to have this moment with just the two of us."
The rapper also introduced his wife by saying that she is not a celebrity. Gary added that he knows lots of people will be surprised with the news of his marriage, but he is hoping that everyone will bless him and his wife with a happy heart.
According to OSEN, it was not just the fans who were shocked with Gary's announcement, but it turned out that even his close friends did not know about it too. In fact, even his Running Man colleagues and Leesang's Gil were equally stunned.
Yangban's Nation, Gary's agency, explained that the rapper has always been secretive about his private life so they are not aware if he was dating anybody. "We first thought it was either a belated April Fools' joke or that his account got hacked," the agency stated after reading the news.
Meanwhile, after the news of his marriage spread like wildfire, the topic of Leesang's disbandment also came out. It appears that it is true that Gary and Gil, the pair that makes up Leesang, have parted ways already.
The duo was reported to have started their own agencies and now pursuing their own solo activities. Then again, Leesang still needs to make their disbandment official as neither of the two members has announced it to their fans yet.
Gary has been promoting as a rapper before becoming a variety star via "Running Man." It was through the show that his popularity shoots up and made his name known outside of Korea.
