"Orange Is The New Black" now has an official release date and a brand new teaser for Season 5.

According to Variety, Netflix will release "Orange Is The New Black" Season 5 globally on their platform beginning on June 9, 2017. The new season is composed of 13 episodes in total. In addition, the streaming giant also released a teaser trailer for the prison drama series, which sees the Litchfield squad ready to wreak havoc following the events in the fourth season finale.

The footage, which is only 15-seconds long, offers a suspenseful look into the new installment. Which features inmates Alex (Laura Prepon), Piper (Taylor Schilling), Nicky (Natasha Lyonne), Flaca (Jackie Cruz), Taystee (Danielle Brooks), Lorna (Yael Stone), Cindy (Adrienne C. Moore), Maria (Jessica Pimentel), Red (Kate Mulgrew) Gloria (Selenis Leyva) and Daya (Dascha Polanco).

Fans will remember that season 4 wrapped up with a major cliffhanger. Following Caputo's announcement that Pousey died due to an accident, Taystee and her fellow inmates rioted in the prison halls.

Plot details about the new season are still under wraps. But Brooks previously teased (via E! Online) that "Orange Is The New Black" Season 5 will take place in a matter of three days.

"It will be very detailed, very intense, and you better get ready," the actress said.

"Get your popcorn, your tissues."

As for Taystee, Brooks previewed that the new bunch of episodes will see her character ready to fight. Having lost a very dear friend, Brooks now views her character as someone who "has nothing to lose." And for that reason fans should definitely keep an eye out for Taystee's next move.

Also, returning for  "Orange Is The New Black" Season 5 is Laverne Cox, who has not been featured in the newly-released teaser. "Orange Is The New Black" is created by Jenji Kohan. Recently, Netflix renewed the series until Season 7.
