"Chicago Justice" will finally launch next month on NBC as part of a three-way crossover with "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago PD." Justice, the latest addition to Dick Wolf's Chicago franchise, has recently cast "The West Wing" grad Bradley Whitford to play an antagonizing role in the said crossover.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Whitford will play Albert Forest, a high-powered defense attorney described as someone who "literally wrote the book on cross-examination." The site also revealed that truth is irrelevant to Forest, as he gives more value to the appearance of reality. To him, the zealous defense of his client is, in fact, a long con that lures prosecutors into his trap.

NBC provided more details about Whitford's guest starring appearance on Justice. As per the episode's official synopsis, viewers will find Firehouse 51 responding to a horrific warehouse fire that killed 39 people. This led the Chicago P.D. on a manhunt for the suspect. Now with someone in custody for both arson and multiple murders, it is up to Peter Stone and his team, including lead investigator Antonio Dawson to step in to bring some peace and resolution to so many families and friends of those lost - including one very close to home.

When the team comes face to face with a hotshot attorney, they find themselves up against a dicey confession, incriminating evidence, and a questionable motive.

"Chicago Justice" follows prosecutor Peter Stone (Philip Winchester), the ambitious Assistant State's Attorney and Deputy Chief of the Special Prosecutions Bureau. The team also includes Assistant State's Attorney Anna Valdez (Monica Barbaro), a passionate newcomer, who's more flexible and willing to bend the rules to get the right result; Laura Nagel (Joelle Carter), a tough-as-nails State's Attorney Investigator that sees each case through the eyes of the victim; and Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda, formerly on "Chicago P.D."), a level-headed and by-the-book detective turned Chief Investigator.

The three-way crossover will kick off on March 1 with "Chicago Fire" at 8PM, followed by "Chicago PD" at 9PM and will wrap-up with "Chicago Justice" at 10PM.
