The upcoming episode of Arrow will find Oliver, Felicity and the team going to Russia to fulfill a mission. Aptly titled "Bratva," the installment has also been previewed to tie-up multiple storylines fans have followed since the season 5 premiere.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Marc Guggenheim promises that "Bratva" (airing on Feb. 8th) will resolve storylines from the past. The showrunner also teased that this episode has been set up to be a climactic hour as viewers finally get to see all of these loose ends getting a conclusion.
Fans should keep an eye out for General Walker's storyline on "Bratva." As Guggenheim previewed, they dedicated the whole episode to resolve Walker's storyline. The EP also noted that there's a reason why they plotted Diggle's return to prison.
"What's nice about that episode, that's episode 12, is that it ties into Oliver's Russia storyline, it ties into Felicity's storyline, and it even echoes back to the Diggle storyline with his brother last season," Guggenheim said.
"So a lot of threads get tied together and some threads get tied up in that 12th episode."
Elsewhere in the episode, viewers will find Lance returning to the mayor's office after his stint in rehab. However, when Susan asks for an interview with Lance to discuss his addiction, he balks and it's up to Rene to help keep things on track.
Based on the characters from the DC comics, Arrow follows former billionaire playboy Oliver Queen, who returns from a shipwreck with a mysterious agenda and a lethal set of new skills that he uses in a war on crime. Stephen Amell plays the title role.
Arrow also stars David Ramsey, Echo Kellum, Emily Bett Rickards, Paul Blackthorne and Willa Holland. An all new episode of Season 5 airs every Wednesday at 8PM on the CW.
