"Saturday Night Live" continues their political commentary in their latest episode. Although Alec Baldwin's stint as President Donald Trump is expected, Melissa McCarthy's surprise appearance as the Press Secretary Sean Spicer pushed the political hilarity further.

Kristen Stewart Hosts with Surprise Guests

It's already expected that their latest episode would be political and host Kristen Stewart got right at it from the start on her monologue (not counting Baldwin's cold opening). According to Los Angeles Times, Stewart's monologue recalled Trump's obsession with her relations with Robert Pattinson during the hype of "Twilight." She also confessed about being nervous because she knows that the president is watching and her recent announcement of her sexuality might be a problem for the Commander-in-Chief.

But Stewart's monologue is just an introduction to what will things to come. In the skit, Sean Spicer was announced to answer questions and the surprise came with McCarthy came in donning the classic Spicer dress.

Immediately, things got heated between McCarthy's character and the press as he confessed that they off to a rocky start that actually refers to the film "Rocky" since "I came out here to punch you in the face..." McCarthy's character even apologized although it is in behalf of the press to himself.

Spicer's Reaction

As McCarthy's portrayal of the Press Secretary became an overnight sensation, it's no surprise that Spicer knew about it the next day. Extra TV was able to get in touch with him while he was in Houston watching the Super Bowl and his reaction was quiet negative since he wants the actress to "dial back" in her portrayal. He also noted that the show actually used to be funny but it's now focused on being mean.

But even though the reaction of Trump and Spicer were negative, the popular weekly sketch show will definitely continue their weekly political comments. If only McCarthy could return as the fiery Press Secretary.
