Jaimie Alexander teased some spoilers for the midseason of "Blindspot" Season 2 in a recent interview. She revealed that another character dies and it is going to surprise viewers.
Alexander, who plays Remi aka Jane Doe, confirmed that another major death happens in the second half of the season. She did not reveal who dies, or whether it is a major character. She also did not say when this death scene happens in "Blindspot" Season 2.
However, she admitted that she was in shock when she read the script about this certain character's death. Alexander said that it caught her off-guard.
"There is a very shocking death that's coming up that I just read last week that I didn't know was going to happen," Alexander told TV Guide.
Whoever dies in the midseason of "Blindspot" Season 2 is still unknown. However, it seems it is going to be heartbreaking for viewers. Alexander said she felt "very sad" when she learned about this character's death.
"Blindspot" already killed two major characters in the Season 1 Finale. Mayfair died after Oscar shot her. Then Jane killed Oscar. It is a mystery, who the series kills off next. Will it be another major character? Alexander's statement about it being a sad moment in the show hints it is someone important.
According to Cartermatt, there are only a few people who are unlikely to die anytime soon in "Blindspot" Season 2. These include Patterson, because she is too valuable for the FBI and Jane, since the show literally revolves around her tattoos.
Likewise, Weller is under Shepherd's protection, so it is safe to assume that he lives too. This leaves Reade, Tasha, Borden, Roman, Nas and Allison as candidates. It remains unknown, who among these characters dies next in "Blindspot" Season 2. Fans will have to wait to find out. Meanwhile, fans can tune in to the next episode titled "Named Not One Man" on NBC.
