Archie Panjabi has joined the crew of "Blindspot" before the Television Critics Association panel, and responded to the controversy regarding her exit in "The Good Wife."

Panjabi is popularly known for her work in the CBS legal drama "The Good Wife," where she played the role of resourceful and hard-edged investigator Kalinda Sharma, for which she won an Emmy in 2010. Speaking about the role, Punjabi said, ""I loved playing the role of Kalinda. I had such a great time. It's something that's very special to me."

Asked on the circumstances of her exit from "The Good Wife," Panjabi was evasive on the subject, Deadline reported.

"In terms of anything that happened on The Good Wife, I think it's only respectful to let it stay on The Good Wife. It was time for me for many reasons to unzip the boots and step into another show," she said before the Television Critics Association panel of reporters.

To get back in discussing her role in "Blindspot," the actress wittingly added, "But I can tell you, for those of you who miss the boots, I do wear a pair of knee-high boots on Blindspot"

Panjabi's answer to the year-old controversy comes after CBS Entertainment Chairwoman Nina Tassler dodged the same question last year by refusing to reveal what really happened in the infamous final joint scene between Panjabi and Julianna Marguilies, TV Guide reported.

At the time, Tassler said the important thing is that the relationship between Panjabi and Marguilies' characters had a very satisfying ending.

In "Blindspot" Season 2, Panjabi will play the role of the head of a secret NSA division that secretly surveils Jane Doe (played by actress Jaime Alexander). While Panjabi said that while she cannot give away too much, she did say that her new role is surrounded by mystery and that the character is "tough, tenacious and unpredictable."

"Blindspot" is an American crime drama television series about a mysterious tattooed woman who has lost her memory and does not know her entity. The tattoos contain clues to crimes that the FBI will have to resolve.

"Blindspot" Season 2 is set to premiere on Sept. 14 on NBC.
