Roman becomes an undercover agent for the FBI in "Blindspot" Season 2. Meanwhile, a wanted terrorist threatens to bomb New York City.

In "Blindspot" Season 2 episode 12, Jane and the FBI dispute whether they can trust Roman enough to send him on an undercover mission. In this episode titled "Devil Never Even Lived," the team discovers a tattoo that involves Roman.

According to the synopsis for episode 12 from TV Guide, this tattoo leads back to Roman. It also involves a biker gang with a shady reputation. Perhaps Roman has connections with this gang. This is why the FBI is debating whether they can send Roman off as one of their own to infiltrate the group.

However, putting Roman (Luke Mitchell) as an undercover agent for the FBI may have its downside. After all, he has no memories of his past life. He does not remember who he is, since Jane wiped away his memories in the midseason finale of "Blindspot" Season 2.

To recap, Jane (Jaimie Alexander) zipped Roman's memories clean, in the hopes that it will give him a second chance in life. Jane thought that if he does not remember Shepherd and all the heinous crimes he committed, the FBI would treat him as an ally, just as they treated her.

However, the midseason premiere of "Blindspot" Season 2 revealed otherwise. Instead, Roman received the terrorist treatment, as seen in the Jan. 4 episode titled "Nor I, Nigel, AKA Leg in Iron." Roman is in solitary confinement inside the FBI, since they do not consider him an asset. This is probably why the team is hesitant to send him to the field in "Blindspot" Season 2 episode 12.

Regardless, Roman will remain faithful to Jane. Luke Mitchell told Collider that Roman is scared of losing his sister, so he would do everything he can to keep Jane by his side.

Elsewhere, a wanted terrorist makes his presence known in New York City with a bomb threat. In "Blindspot" Season 2 episode 11, the FBI works with the CIA to prevent the explosion.
