"This is US" actor Sterling K. Brown has accidentally revealed that Marvel's "Black Panther" has tapped the services of Emmy-nominated actress Phylicia Rashad.

In an interview, Brown said that Chad Boseman is the perfect person to portray T'Challa, the titular character in the film and accidentally revealed Rashad's name upon mentioning his other co-stars, Comic Book reported.

"I just worked with Chad [Boseman] on a film called Marshall, about Thurgood Marshall. He's such a talented human being and a deep soul," he said. "He's the perfect personality to fully inhabit T'Challa. So, to rejoin him, and to work with Academy Award winners ... to be with Michael B. Jordan after the incredible work he's done in Creed. Danai Gurira, Phylicia Rashad, Forest Whitaker - like, it's embarrassing. I'm good at what I do - I don't try to do any sort of false modesty - but, 'Wow! I get to be with all of you people!?!," he said.

Shortly after the interview was posted online, Rashad's name was reportedly omitted from the quote. Rashad's involvement in "Black Panther" is hardly surprising because she has worked with Jordan and its director Ryan Coogler in "Creed."

As for the film itself, Brown said that the film addresses the current climate of Africans and African-Americans in America and across the world. He went to say that the film is "politically astute" and "incredibly socially revant," ET Online news reported.

Brown revealed that he will play a character named N'Jobu who has a history with T'Challa. N'Jobu does not appear in existing "Black Panther" comics. MCU and comic book fans alike offered several theories on who the character might be. Others think that he could be T'Chala's mentor which others also said that the character could be the father of T'Challa's arch nemesis Erik Killmonger (Jordan).

"Black Panther" is slated for release on Feb. 16, 2018.
