The Atlanta Hawks are reportedly looking to trade three-time All-Star forward Paul Millsap for a first-round draft pick after the Kyle Korver trade to Cavs. The Hawks are at risk of losing Millsap for nothing in the free agency this coming July.

The Hawks are looking to acquire a quality first-round pick in exchange for the veteran cager, ESPN reported. Other sources say that the team is currently in talks to strike a deal and sign a versatile forward.

If the ESPN report is true, the Hawks may be unloading some of its veterans in exchange for young guns as a move to rebuild. If this is the case, the Denver Nuggets who reportedly want Millsap on their roster could have a good chance because of the extra first-round draft pick that they got from the Memphis Grizzlies, CBS Sports reported.

On the other hand, the Toronto Raptors also have an extra pick courtesy of the Los Angeles Clippers which would likely fall in the lottery. The Raptors may also reportedly sacrifice their rookie Jakob Poeltl who went at no. 9 pick in last year's draft but it remains to be seen if the Hawks will entertain such offer.

For his part, Millsap said that he wants to stay where he is. "Rumors are rumors. I think we know that. Been down this road before. I think we talked at the beginning of the year that it wasn't going to be the first or the last time. It is what it is. Whatever happens, I think everybody knows where my heart is and where I want to be. But we'll see what happens. The only thing I can worry about and I can do is to go out there and play my butt off every night and try to get wins for this team," he said, CBS reported.

While it seems that Millsap is not looking elsewhere to find a team, he admitted that the matter is out of his own hands and as a seasoned professional, he would just have to go along with it.
