To those who have a crippling fear of clowns, get ready to lock your doors. Stephen King's "It" will be returning to the cinemas for a 2017 release, thanks to New Line Cinemas. Just recently, new photos have revealed everybody's favorite horrifying clown, Pennywise.

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we've been getting a new look at the creepy clown that's Pennywise, played by Swedish actor Bill Skarsgård, who also played as Matthew in "The Divergent Series: Allegiant."

The latest image shows the creepy character lurking in the tunnels of a sewer beneath Derry, Maine. Check the image below.

The new costume was designed by "Mad Men" costume designer Janie Bryant, in which numerous elements from the Medieval, Renaissance and Victorian times were incorporated in the look. Bryant also stated that the look is meant to incorporate "all these otherworldly past lives," conveying the chilling fact that "he is definitely a clown from a different time."

Director Andres Muschietti also mentioned to EW that Pennywise is also a disturbing character in addition to the already terrifying presence it conveys. It's probably due to the fact that character does not cower in the shadows to pounce on its prey but instead is "front and center, and he does his show. He has an act. So it's weird all the time, and every little thing implies a further threat."

Other than Muschietti helming the film, he also co-wrote the screenplay with Gary Dauberman, Chase Palmer, Cary Fukunaga, and David Kajganich. Joining Bill Skarsgård is Jaeden Lieberher starring as Bill Denbrough, along with Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, and Jack Grazer as supporting roles.

Stephen King's "It" opens in theaters on Sept. 8, 2017.
