"Fuller House" fans just got their present for the holidays when it was disclosed that the comedy series has been renewed for another season. Netflix, the network that stream the show, also confirmed that it was renewed so fans can look forward to it in 2017.
The news came out on Christmas day after the cast members uploaded a video on "Fuller House" official social networking page, and disclosed that they are heading for the third season. Jeff Franklin, the show's producer released a teaser earlier but the confirmation for the show's return came only now.
In the short clip that was posted on Christmas Eve, the cast members were shown passing on a gift box until it reached the end it was finally handed down to Jodie Sweetin. She then turned the box to reveal the bottom part and the words "Fuller House season 3 coming soon" appeared.
"Fuller House" Season 1 aired last year and it achieved remarkable success. The second season, which was released just earlier this month, replicated the successful outcome so the third installment has already been decided and planned.
The show is a revival of the highly popular sitcom entitled "Full House" that first aired in 1987. Since it is just like a comeback, some of the main cast were called in again to reprise their roles.
From the original cast line up, John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber have returned as the leads. In the revival version, Cameron and Sweetin were depicted as the daughters who came home to their hometown. They are adults now but their uncle Jesse is still there for them.
In an interview with ABC News, Bure, Sweetin and Barber commented on being able to reprise their roles again. "It's like time never passed," Barber said. "We stepped right back into these roles effortlessly."
Meanwhile, it is yet to be seen if the Olsen twins, Kate and Ashley, will finally return to via "Fuller House" Season 3. The twins, who played as the youngest Tanner sibling named Michelle, has yet to make their appearance since the program was revived.
