Two new actors are announced to join the highly anticipated "Justice League" film.

As reported by Collider, the cast list of the upcoming superhero ensemble film has been released as part of the film's press kit. Two familiar names from the DC Expanded Universe came up --- Jesse Eisenberg and Connie Nielsen.

Eisenberg was earlier introduced to fans in the commercially successful but critically not-so praised "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" where he played the eccentric genius and nemesis to the Man of Steel, Lex Luthor.

Eisenberg's Luthor was shown at the ending of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" saying "the bell has been rung and cannot be unrung". This parting words solidified the belief that there will more for Eisenberg's Luthor in the upcoming DC films.

On the other hand, Nielsen is yet to make an appearance as the "Wonder Woman" solo film is not yet released. The Gal Gadot starrer will feature Nielsen as Hippolyta, the Amazonian queen in Themyscira and mother to the titular role.

As disclosed by the press kit, Nielsen is set to return in the "Justice League" film but the scope of her role is still uncertain. However, Collider reported that the intergalactic devices called "Mother Boxes" introduced in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will play a big part of the "Justice League" mythos.

Accordingly, each of the meta-human societies, including the Themyscirans, are said to have one in their possession for safe keeping.

However, "Justice League" will be a sort of DC's answer to Marvel's "The Avengers" based on its synopsis as reported by Looper which goes:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

"Justice League" will hit theaters on November 17, 2017.
