Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green claimed that he is one of the best player in the NBA today. Currently, his statistics shows that he leads the team in rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. Green has shown his value to the team.

In term of points, Green has the lowest points per game with 10.9 points, which may be the result of the Warriors distribute the shooting to Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant according to ESPN. But he showed that he is an All-Star player by leading the team in rebounds, assists, steals and blocks per game, with 10.1 rebounds, 7.1 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.6 blocks per game. However Green explained that his decision to reduce his shooting is being a smart player.

"I do turn down some shots, but I think that's just basketball knowledge," he said. "If I'm open and KD's open, if you're smart, you throw the ball to KD and let him shoot it.”

He said that many players considered their contribution based on points they put up per game. But he took pride of his all-round skill as reported by FOX Sports. Green and his versatility in both end of the court is the most valuable assets for the Golden State Warriors.

Green also said that he is currently the best player in the NBA. He claimed that he has the unrivaled versatility and defensive prowess that makes him more valuable than players who are only good in scoring.

His evolution to become one of the most versatile player in the NBA shows that the 6’7” forward is one of the most improved player this season. The arrival of Durant does not make him being sidelined but improved. His play sends a message to any contenders of the NBA championship, including the Warriors last year’s opponent Cleveland Cavaliers.
