Less than a month before "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is launched, there has been rumors looming on deck. "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" developer Sledgehammer has plans of setting the game in Vietnam.

Sledgehammer is considering of producing "Fog of War or Vietnam" which will take the set in Cambodia and Laos where Vietnam War took place. The concept was canceled though, however, rumors coming IGN Spain said that the next game will take to Vietnam, Destructoid reported.

No details have been disclosed if they would or would not utilize any of the assets or manage from the suspended "Fog of War" title or if it will be called third-person. As a matter of fact, this is not the first game that made Vietnam it's setting because the first Black Ops did so.

According to Fraghero, the upcoming "Call of Duty" game is slated to release in November 2017. While Activision is subsequent to a 3-year progress period for its games, it is already behind the schedule to mend these things even after it came to understand that the gaming community is not happy at all with the franchise going the space-age  warfare way. However, it might be that the publisher will set the record straight with its next "Call of Duty" installment on 2017.

Activision consists of three studios for "Call of Duty" development which allows the progress of each game that has three years of the cycle. In 2015, Treyarch launched Black Ops 3 and in November "Infinite Warfare of Infinity Ward' will arrive. Sledgehammer Games will take control of the next game's launch in the series.

Because of the "Infinity Ward' issue amid the "Modern Warfare 3" development, most of the developers left the company to create another studio named Respawn Entertainment who is behind the Titanfall series. Sledgehammer Games assisted IW to fulfill Modern Warfare 3 progress duties. This is the reason why "Fog of War" development was held back and eventually got canceled.
